For those of you following the ACA repeal -- and especially the critical issue of preexisting condition coverage for our T1s -- this New York Times column is worth a read: https://www.nytimes.com/2017/05/23/...-left-region&WT.nav=opinion-c-col-left-region Among other things, this article reports that the Senate Finance committee has solicited "stakeholder" feedback, with today being the requested submission date for comments to this email address: HealthReform@finance.senate.gov .
Great article, thanks or sharing! Too bad I am seeing this after the feedback date. I'm hoping the jarring numbers from the CBO report would be enough to sink this, but maybe I am being naive.
Here's another update on the ACA/Obamacare repeal effort in the Senate. Somewhat surprisingly (and alarmingly), it looks like Congress might actually pull this off: https://www.vox.com/health-care/2017/6/12/15771872/obamacare-is-in-real-danger Here is a joint patient advocacy group statement, signed last month by ADA and JDRF, on the problems that the repeal plan poses to the chronically ill: http://www.prnewswire.com/news-rele...ppose-american-health-care-act-300448714.html And here is JDRF's separate statement, with information on how to contact your Senator: http://www.jdrf.org/press-releases/jdrf-issues-statement-opposing-revised-healthcare-legislation/
