I've been pulling my hair out for the last week trying to figure out what to do...maybe I could get some advice from y'all! Adam is in Kindergarten (doing great! totally supportive school/nurse) and his numbers have been really good, except for the last week or so, his BG's have been in the low 60's at his 2 hour post-lunch check. On Friday, after I had changed his lunch I:C ratio from 1:20 to 1:22, he was in the 50's! The previous week, I had dialed back his basals in the afternoon to see if that would help, but it obviously didn't. Here are a few variables: Before lunch at 10:45am, his BG is usually around 115 or so - he then eats lunch, and is bolused for what he eats at around 11:20pm. He does go out to recess after lunch for about 20 minutes. **I'm thinking this may be the culprit** but it wasn't an issue the first few weeks of school. By 1pm, he's been low. Should I forget changing his lunch I:C ratios and perhaps have them bolus for HALF of his lunch carbs? And again...it depends on how active he is at recess, but from what I'm gathering, he's really active! Ideas?
