Our 25 year old marathon running daughter with Type 1 Juvenile Diabetes just suffered a 'massive heart attack'. She was diagnosed with Type 1 at 10 years of age. She has managed her diet and sugars well over the years. We are reaching out to any young person around her age who has suffered a heart attack.
We are looking for young adults she can communicate with and share experiences. Thank you in advance.

I am sorry that you have not found any support on this site, but maybe an adult T1D site or a "running" site. I hope that your daughter is able o make a full recovery and can narrow down what the true cause/s that brought this event on.

Good luck! in finding the many answers.

Heart attacks are very rare in this age group.

Was the heart attack believed to be D-related, running-related, or was there a genetic predisposition?
