Does this sound like a good idea or a screwy one? A friend of ours manufactures and sells candy bars - mostly peanuts, honey, sesame seeds, pumpkin seeds. Mostly natural ingredients, no preservatives. They are quite tasty, our kids love them.
He is willing to make some for us that would contain 15 carbs each, about 7 gm fat, 2 gm protein, 130 calories. They would have a special label - indicating that a percentage of the price is donated to JDRF. They'd probably sell for about $5.00 for 6 bars.
We usually try to give 15 carbs snacks and that, plus the fact that the kids loved them, got us to thinking that other diabetics might like them too.
