      Hi Stephanie,
Thought I'd send you a friend request. It seems we have a lot in common with both of our girls newly diagnosed and them being the same age. I also feel like we have connected through a few posts. So if you ever need to talk you can PM me and I'll also send you my phone number through a PM. Hmmmm, did I already do that? Well, I will again just in case. Please don't hesitate to call me any time.

my son LOVES his camp!!! Camp Nejeda is about 30 min from us & it is a great place.
My cousin who is 30 was dx @ 2yrs old and he went to the camp and also became a counselor!! This will be Alex's 3rd summer and he can't wait!!!
I would encourage all kids to try a diabetes camp, it really is a good time!!!!

I know exactly how you are feeling right now and I hope your daughter adjusts in time.
Alex actually did much better in the first 6 mo after dx than he is doing now. He is realizing the reality of diabetes being "forever".

With your daughter newly diagnosed, I am sure everything still seems confusing. It has been 2 yrs since Alex was dx but it seems like forever. I remember at first everyone kept saying it gets easier with time. It doesn't ever get easier to watch your child go through so much.
I have spent the last 2 yrs reading dozens of books and doing non stop research. I do believe that knowlegde is power and it has helped me take better care of him. I am constantly learning new things and new tricks on diabetes care.

hi Tesa ..just saw your message here. thank you so much for your concern. I still am having up and down days. If I remember to take the st. johns wort I think that it is working. I am now into the debate if I am returning to work or not in a few weeks and how much financial strain that may put on us and do what is best for our family. ahhh. nothing is ever easy is it. Please keep in touch it is nice to have someone to talk to who is going through the same things and feeling the same way.t
