This post: http://forums.childrenwithdiabetes.com/showthread.php?p=225813#post225813 is one where Kent describes his family. He hasn't logged on since September, and I haven't contacted him- I just think his story sounds pretty cool.
I think my questions are more about parenting a child I haven't met yet, which is a different sort of way to getting to parent. I may have more questions when I'm closer- I'm a senior in college and I think I want to have been supporting myself at a grown up sort of job for one year before becoming a foster parent. By the way, there is a family on here where both parents are physically disabled and diabetic and they adopted two diabetic boys. The user name is Kent T.
I just read your post that says you're becoming a foster parent. That's a road I'm interested in going down in a couple of years. Can you tell me how that happened, are you foster parenting alone or with a partner, what state you're in, whether you asked for a kid with diabetes or just made it clear that you could handle diabetes, and how healthy you had to be to be allowed to foster parent?
