Hi there, and welcome, my daughter is type 1 also and selective mute, she is now 11 yrs old, still does not talk to adults , but does talk to children she feels comfortable with.
she has had a lot of problems at school because the staff did not want to know or help. where do you live? does your daughter get much help at school?
I use the emailing list more now to chat and ask for advice or just to read other parents and carers ideas or worries, they answer a lot of my questions without me having to ask. we all have the same worries and questions.
sorry for going on so much.
