Oh -- don't know if you've looked into LADA, too!

Saw your post at MODY but we have no connection with MODY so didn't want to post there. My middle, nondiabetic daughter was diagnosed last year with blood pressure regulation problems. I'm sure your case has nothing to do with that but always feel the need to chime in because we had a long road trying to diagnose her. Her main symptom was stomach pain, then she saw spots and had brain fog, thirst. Why I post is that she also seemed to go both high and low. Not ketones. Now, for all I know she'll develop diabetes, her younger sister is T1. But she doesn't seem to be.

The blood pressure problem meant she wasn't getting oxygen to her brain and digestive system. The blood "pooled" in her hands and feet. So I guess the highs and lows were related to that somehow, to digestion being wonky. She's on a high salt diet now and feeling much better.

In any case, I wanted to note that for us, it seems highs and lows (she hit near 200 after meals sometimes) seem to have been a side effect of a different medical problem. So you might want to consider that. Hers is a problem of the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems coordinating poorly.

      Hope you find your answers!
