Ground is soaking wet. Lots of tree's fell. The tornado's were all around us, I did'nt see them but I sure heard them. Almost everyone's power went out that I know. Ours did not go out We were very lucky. Now I pray that NO one has to deal with Hurricane Hanna, Tropical Storm Ike and TS Josephine. Maybe the atmosphere will just wipe them out before anyone else has to deal with that mess. Our Louisiana and MS Gulf friends have alot more problems than we ended up with so please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
Oh! I'm so glad you posted Robin! I've been thinking/praying for you guys. I will continue to pray for you guys with the next storms - hopefully they will just fizzle out.
Thank you for letting us know that you are safe. Hearing tornadoes all around you must have been terrifying! We had a tornado touch down about 5-miles from our house, and the sound of it overhead was something that I never want to hear again. How did your kids react?
Glad you are ok! Hurricanes and the tornados that come with them are scary. I remember after Isabel came thru (probably a TS by the time it hit Richmond), there was a possible tornado that was right in line with our house. Dh works for the state emergency management so he had gone to work and for some reason, I was awake at 5 am hearing the radio (no power) describe where this tornado was suppose to be. I was freaked but I got the boys down to the only windowless room downstairs and waited. Nothing happened but it was scary! We will probably get some of the remnants of Hanna but it shouldn't be too bad. (Though the NASCAR race might be delayed! LOL)
So glad to hear you all are safe and made it through Gustav. We are keeping a close eye on Hanna as we are on the east coast right above Jax, Fl.
