My youngest (12 yo) was just diagnosed with type 1 three weeks ago. My husband is type 1, but other than him we don't know any type 1's, so finding this board was absolutely WONDERFUL! I don't have any specific questions, but am just feeling overwhelmed. I am so excited at finding a community of folks who are dealing with children with diabetes! I have three older children and we homeschool. We are graduating #2 in a few weeks, so this has been a very stressful month! I look forward to getting to know all of you!
Sorry you had to find us but: Welcome to the boards and yes this is a great place. Any questions ask away they will answer them quickly.. WELCOME
Welcome! Sorry you're having to join our "merry crew"! We homeschool also, but still have about 5 years before #1 graduates. Congrats for getting 2 through!
Welcome to the forum. My husband is a T-1 diabetic, and my 6-year-old son is also T-1 diabetic. It is very helpful to talk to other moms and dads who get it.
I'm very sorry to hear of your daughter's diagnosis. Welcome to the boards, and please don't hesitate to ask any questions. We're here for you!
Hello and welcome! My son was diagnosed 3 weeks after his 12th birthday. It's been almost a year, he just turned 14 on Monday. Please know that we are all in this together and your feelings of being overwhelmed are shared by us all at times. If you have any questions you need answered you have come to the right place. ***Hugs***
