I feel like i've been alittle negative lately. Ihate that. So I'd like to talk about some things that make me smile. -my girls-they've been getting along so well(knock on wood)andbeing so helpful. -my kitties-pumpkin they baby is just the best cat i've every had. he purrs so loudly, so curious-even curious about toilet. he can even jump way on top of kitchen cabinets. loves to try and catch his tail. swear this kitties on crack. -and of course welbutrin. you'll have anything that makes you smile?
Things that make me smile are: When my husband makes a point of kissing me before he goes to work, even if I am asleep. Seeing all three kittens laying in a basket in front of the window. Waking up in the mornings in this nice house. Taking a ride out into the desert. Watching my weight go down when I step on the scale. This may sound weird, but here in the winter when I hear that it might snow. Both of my teen boys, no matter what they do, unless they are fighting..
LOL Cats The increased smiley quota My boys' conversations My scale showing less kilos back at me...hasn't happened yet, but it'll make me smile when it does happen LOL Cats...again
My goofy sweet dog. The way Zeb kisses me when I have to lean over to buckle his seat belt in the car. Seeing my older DS cuddled up reading a book. DD reading to Zeb. When the kids thank me for dinner or making cookies. Seeing all three kids cuddled up watching a movie and laughing together. When DH calls just to see how I am. The whole family on one bed, tight fit but worth it.:cwds:
When everyone is getting along,, cats and dogs, children and the birds. Smelling fresh flowers. Listening to the children play. Hubby. Allene
Kissing Sharon goodbye as I leave for work in the morning, get down the road a ways and realize I forgot something on the kitchen counter, turn around and go back to get what I forgot then take that opportunity to kiss her AGAIN. In case you haven't figured it out, I tend forget things on the counter a lot.
I was having a hard time thinking of something besides my kids (who make me smile uncountable times everyday) that made me smile, and came up with two today while driving down the street... - Kids getting on the school bus, with the mom (or dad) waving from the door (or driveway) as the bus pulls away - it is just so sweet and always makes me smile:cwds: - When I see grown ups (lol - something I forget that I am) holding hands. oh wait - the first flower of spring always makes me smile!
Knowing that others care no matter good or bad. Being a blessing to someone else. New born babies (my cousin just had a baby boy 2-11) Snuggling in an electric blanket at night when its freezing cold outside.
The host of birds waiting every morning for me to refill the feeder. The little dog bossing the big dog around and the big dog's infinite patience. When Maddie gets on the phone with her 3 year cousin and laughs. The way my husband calls home on his work late nights at 7:10 pm to check on his "girls".
This is nice! my grandkids anticipating my move to live near two of those grandkids anticipating that move as hopefully I will be able to live alone and only support myself. my friends at CWD Remembering all the good times when my hubby was still alive and the girls were all home. Finding a book in the house that I haven't read yet--can finish one a day somedays. I'm sure I will think of more later.
Was reminded of something else that makes me smile today.... The sound of swings. My kids were swinging, and I just had to smile and think I love the sound of swings swinging, I always have and always will.:cwds:
My kids make me smile every day. Brittany and Alli have been really amusing lately. With Valentines day just here everyday it was the 4th and 5th grade gossip on who likes who. Very funny stuff. But what makes me smile the most is my dh. He is the funniest guy I have ever known. After all these years I am still crazy about him!
I finally thought of something! The way the teens over in the teen section are making such a big deal about how it's my birthday today.
Listening to Emma talk on the phone to her big brother (who is away at college) about her day and asking him about his. I have to smile when she says, "Okay, I love you, Bubba. Sweet dreams, goodnight." BTW, this is an every night occurance. Has been since he went away to college.
