Let's go back to the possessive contractions again because this one has bugged me for a long time.

If I have two sisters and they are both married, how do I correctly write sentences about the men they are married to?

My brothers-in-law are idiots. Correct. 2 BILs, 1 law.
My brother-in-laws are idiots.Incorrect.

My brothers'-in-law opinion of me is that I'm an idiot. Tough one. I think it's incorrect. 2 BILs sharing 1 opinion, but still 2 BILs, so opinions should be plural, IMO.
My brothers'-in-law opinions of me are that I'm an idiot. Correct. 2 BILs, 2 opinions
My brother's-in-law opinion of me is that I'm an idiot. Correct, if you're referring to just 1 BIL.
My brother-in-laws' opinions of me are that I'm an idiot. Incorrect. Law is just 1.

Might want to check with your brothers-in-law if this is their true opinion.
