    ROTFPIMP!!!!:D:D

Ya know. I never knew that sporks existed outside of Taco Bell. They are very, very handy at Taco Bell but I don't think my children's schools have such fancy utensils.

I like the idea of the metal sporks but I wonder if they might be more dangerous. The children could scrape them on the blacktop on the playground until they fashioned them into shivs and then they could have gang fights.

Oh for crying in the mud! To borrow the words of wise old Ani, "every tool is a weapon if you hold it right." Are they going to ban books from children who don't hold them just right because they might get a paper cut? Or keep kids from using the drinking fountain because they might swallow wrong and aspirate water into their lungs? Puh-lease.

I don't know....how could anyone really take something called a "sporking incident" seriously at all? Even the name makes you laugh.
I agree with you about the proper English, though. Why would any teacher send such a poorly written note home to a parent?

You know, I think the Spork Report (say that out loud - it's funny too) was maybe an unexpected gift in disguise. I cannot believe how many views this post has generated. Apparently, sporks have brightened the day of many parents of CWD. Have a Spork-tacular Day!

Yes, DH and I have very much enjoyed this topic. Sorry Conner! According to DH it is a "sporking conspiracy"!

I just got online today after being gone for several days. I couldn't believe this thread. I used to work in a school cafeteria and I think this is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of. I can't believe the stupid teacher was worried about this--while other students were probably doing something much worse. And yes, I noticed her poor grammar right away, but wanted to wait till I read all the posts before I posted. IMHO, it is also stupid to not allow the kids to talk at lunch. When are they supposed to talk?

Sporkin' news search yields new hits:

In Calif., it's "spork barrel" spending

The days of spoons and forks are over in Contra Costa County's jails.

Instead, inmate diners get one spork.
