Hahahaha! What is with the picture that ran with the article?! I didn't notice that before! That's exactly how I picture him looking when he issues one of these rants!

But.... aren't the large sized sugary drinks contributing to the rise in Type 2? I personally don't see an issue with this. If your issue is the word "diabetes" - I guess I got over that a long time ago. My beef with the NY Post article was the use of the word "Juvenile Diabetes" and am happy they corrected that.

Yup, type 2. to be honest, I don't have an issue with any of it really, certainly not with the use of the word diabetes. I was just sharing some some diabetes in the news stuff.

I don't think it was the word diabetes that caught people's attention. It was the fact that he said JUVENILE diabetes.:(

Yes, exactly. Because even before Hana was dx with T1, I did know that Juvenile D was not the same as T2.

Ya, that's what bugged me. It was the misuse of the term. Yes, people get the term diabetes wrong all the time and I usually just roll my eyes, but throwing juvenile in front of it ruffled my feathers for some reason...

Exactly! That was my only beef - the word Juvenile. I'm glad they changed it!
