This is just to remind everyone that the American Diabetes Association's 77th Scientific Session is June 9-13 in San Diego. This is the world's largest forum for diabetes research (both type-1 and type-2). In the past there has always been lots of new research reported on at the conference, and also just generally announced at this time. There is a huge pool of science reporters all in one place at one time, and ready for diabetes press releases, so it is very easy to put out related news at this time.

In the next three weeks, don't be surprised to see a lot of "cured in mice" and "5 years to a cure" and all the usual over-optimistic headlines. If your attention span is 140 characters, you can read the twitter feed for #ADA2017. People are already starting to pre-announce their news.
