    This page has a link to an interview on the BBC aired this morning (UK time) with Frances Ashcroft about her career researching diabetes. In particular she discusses discovering the Kir6.2 protein, her collaboration with Andrew Hattersley that discovered diabetics with mutated forms of the protein and how her discovery has helped patients with this form of monogenic diabetes. It's almost half an hour long but worth the listen.
