    I'm new to this site, and when i'm reading a lot of the posts, a lot of people say DD. what on earth does DD mean?

    Hi & welcome!

    Someone will probably beat me to it, but:

    DD= Dear Daughter
    DS= Dear Son
    DH= Dear Husband
    and so on for all family members...just a faster way to type relationships, and a good way to do it if you don't want to use actual names for security, etc.

    I also see (and use!) just one D used to abreviate Diabetes/Diabetic/etc.

    The other famous one you'll see on the site is YDMV (Your Diabetes May Vary)!

    thanks! I suspected daughter had to be part of DD. It makes sense now.
