    I spoke with someone who spoke with someone there.

    The clinical trials are still several years away.

    But it's still very promising and it looks like with people like Jim Wells, in the next ten years, there WILL BE A CURE!!!!!!

    I believe we are much closer to solving the autoimmune part of the problem. Who knows? maybe we won't need beta cell regeneration drugs if the beta cells regenerate themselves after the autoimmune attack is stopped. As for converting cells into insulin producing cells, here was an article that was posted in the research section of the forum a couple of days ago
