Do any of your Type 1 children suffer from poor circulation? Since her diagnosis my daughter has had very poor circulation, very cold hands and feet and waking up cold in the middle of the night. Is this due to diabetes? It worries me a bit especially the waking up at night feeling so cold. Just wondering about there being a connection.

It's been over 5 years but I seem to recall my daughter going through a period of being cold for a while after diagnoses. After a year or so everything went back to normal.

Edit, a while after T1D diagnoses she was diagnosed with low thyroid and takes Levothyroxine daily, that's probably what fixed it. Be sure and have that checked it's one of the other auto immunes that goes along with T1D.

    Nope.

Have you considered having her evaluated by a medical professional????
