Matt is 18 and was diagnosed at 16. I'd be happy to help as well.
With 20 people replying they can help, we do have quite a club or parents of teenagers with Type 1 diabetes. It is good to know there are others with older children.
And I missed the post (been really, really busy lately.... hmmm, wonder why?) but I make 21.
(Aaron's 17, dx'd at 13)
Kristi : My son is younger (15), but I am here if you need me.
I feel D is really difficult during the teen years. The kids want to be independent and don't want our help. They are angry in general!
Communication is almost nil about D. Asking a question and getting the answer is like pulling teeth It is very fustrating for parents.
It is hard to discuss this on the forums because 1- alot of people have young kids and don't really understand what it is like when your child is older and 2- people judge and make comments to hurt your feelings.
I hope you work out this bump in the road:cwds:
Ryan diagnosed at 11, now 15.
I just wanted to thank each and every one of you that replied and offered to help.
It has just been rough around here.
I sat down and had a good talk with Kaleb and I think we have a plan that will work for everyone (fingers crossed ).

Just chiming in . . . late to the post, but Jordan is only days from 15. I'm here if you ever need. Feel free to pm me if you ever want to. I.
It is nice to know that others will listen and understandall at the same time.
Hope things get better
I know I am late, but you can add me to the list as well. Jacob is 14 going on 40--you know, he knows it all already, he was dx'd at 5.
Late to the post but I would love to help. Nick is now 15 dx'd at 13.
