Why would you want to hack someone's insulin pump? I can't imagine there'd be many people out there who would want to intentionally reprogram someone's insulin pump to overdose them or anything

Hacking into an insulin pump is not the same as causing mischief or stealing passwords on someones computer. You are putting someones life in serious jeopardy and if the pump malfunctions due to the hack and delivers too much insulin causing the death of the user, that would be considered 2nd degree intentional homicide.

I sincerely hope that any would-be hacker would consider the ramifications of their actions. A line needs to be drawn somewhere and this is it.
