♥ People need to understand that children with special needs don't have an illness, so there is no cure & it's not contagious. ♥ They only want what we all want, to be accepted. Most of you probably won't copy and paste this. Will you do it and leave it on your status for at least an hour? It's Special Education week, & this is in honor of all the kids who need a little extra help & understanding. Thanks! ♥

Tonight was one of those nights where she was "acting like a teenager" if you know what I mean. And then this - I'm a proud dad tonight :)

    Applauding Amy!!!!!!

My 21 year old son posted this the other day on his:

"is praying for a cure for cancer....until then I pray that those who are inflicted, are spared pain and suffering in their final days."

Yeah, it was too perfectly spelled to have come from her - but given the inane things that most others her age are posting it was nice to see.. :cwds:

And it really means so much to those of us with special needs kids. Sometimes I wonder "why DS? He already has special needs, why D too?"
It's nice to see that sentiment going around FB.

Most definitely!! Most kids would also be discouraged to post something that like just because of peer pressure.

Having diabetes makes our children grow up fast. Sometimes that makes me sad cause I want my little boy back, but Im so glad that they are so resilient and mature. They will go far in life:cwds: Thats awesome Wilf, you have a fine young lady for a daughter:)
