    Hey ya'll,

Thanks again for the warm welcome. The Juvenile Diabetes Cure Alliance came out with a report this week on donor spending, why donors give, and deceptive messages charities use in order to procure funds.

If you have any interest in reading it, please follow the link under my ABOUT ME.

    Here's an excerpt:

"The overwhelming motivation for people contributing to type 1 charitable
foundations/research organizations is to fund cure research, in our view. However, we believe that this desire is not accurately reflected in the allocations of donor contributions made by the charitable foundations. A broad range of non-cure research activities conducted by charitable organizations diverts significant funds away from cure research grants (as discussed in our Industry Expense Models report dated August 29, 2011). We believe that funding for type 1 cure research would be meaningfully greater if the intentions of donors were better reflected in the allocation of resources by the foundations. "
