Im twelve (thirteen in sept) and I was diagnosed a month ago. yknow, you never really notice how many people you see in public who have D until you actually have it.
I was diagnosed when I was nine too... on July 4th actually. A day away from a coma... I'm going through burn out and I'm scared, but I can't seem to pull myself out.
I was 'technically' 17 when I was diagnosed, but I turned 18 two weeks later. So really, 18 at diagnoses.
10 1/2-it seemed so old then, but now that my 'baby' sister is 10..........?......... she still seems so little and young, and yet, i remember thinking at the hospital "at least i'm a big girl/grown up" :rolleyes. 10 seems fairly common too. in doing the mentoring with my mom, we've gotten a TON of girls 9-12:cwds: but i also know two little girls at our JDRF chapter who were dx at 2 and 4.
