    Lovely---
As you all know, ALL of our kids are guaranteed issue next month on the 23rd. That's great news:D
Leave it to the insurance companies to mess it up:mad:
Just got another email, the last one standing taking child only plans has backed out.
There are NO companies which will take a child by themself.
What to do if the parents don't qualify for insurance due to health reasons??? If you are fortunate to live in a state with a high risk pool, you can go that way, if not, well...........

Not only is this unethical, I personally believe it is a breeding ground for scumbags to take advantage of kids needing coverage. If you are looking for coverage for your CWD, be forewarned, there are now NO options other than the federal plans (which you must go for 6 months without coverage) or a state high risk pool.

As always, if you have questions, please feel free to PM me. Do NOT sign up with a company who tells you they can cover your child.

If a plan comes available which provides good coverage for our CWD's, I'll post it as soon as I know.

I don't think you can force companies, who exist to make a profit, to be benevolent and insure everyone and be fair. For some reason, taking the profit out of health insurance makes everyone twitch about socialism.

Charlotte, I agree. The entire situation is messed up and very frustrating to me, as well as others.
Changes need to be made, however the changes they are making really benefit very few and screw the rest of us in terms of higher premiums.

I can see their point from a business perspective, however as a parent of a CWD---hearing my kid will be covered then finding out no one will take him unless I'm on the plan is very disheartening!

I figured out that in order for them to make a profit off our CWD, they would have to charge more than 1,000/month for our kids.

Not sure what the solution is, but there sure are a lot of problems--both sides!!
