Does anybody know anything about thrombosed hemmorhoids? Do you need to see the dr. to have it dx'd or could you just wait and see if it goes away on its own?

When in doubt, consult your Dr.

You can wait, but I think if it's in fact thrombosed, they'll at least want to tie it off (if they can get to it that way) and let it die.

If it is truly thrombosed, then you will need to see a doctor. I speak from experience.

I was fortunate in that mine did take care of itself. It was diagnosed as thrombosed by the family dr. It was the first time I'd met him and he was ready to take care of it in the office; but the nurse didn't really want to assist him (said she'd never seen it done in-office). So I decided to go home without treatment. Within a day it "popped" and then healed up. Maybe that's not the way it usually works, but that's how it went for me. I really don't want any more of them though.

I have some ( too much ) experience with them. You can PM me if there is anything I can help with.
