I have all these poems to read, and then I have to answer a question, but I can't remember what it is right now, I'd have to look in my notebook. The problem? I don't understand what the poems are saying. There all poems by John Donne, and they are really confusing me. Does anyone know of a website that will help me understand them? It's due tomorrow by 10am!!! Please help if you can. Thanks in advance. O, and if you want, I could copy and paste the poems I don't understand here if you think you could help me understand them, just let me know
I really like the most famous one he wrote. Here is a little explanation of it: http://isu.indstate.edu/ilnprof/ENG451/ISLAND/ I like the idea that we're all part of one big thing and that therefore If a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the lesser.
Here are six of his poems, completely analyzed. Scroll down to the bottom of the page. http://lardcave.net/hsc/index.html This has poems analyzed, but it is listed by the poem's title..... http://www.shmoop.com/poetry/ Oh yeah, can't forget the sparknotes.......that was soooo high school http://www.sparknotes.com/poetry/donne/
