Has anyone heard of diabetes attacking your saliva glands? Not dry because your bg is high, but dry like a continuing condition? I have had trouble with it for about a yr and bothers me more than anything I have had with diabetes so far:confused: Also can Lantus cause dry mouth?

There's a syndrome called Sjogren's syndrome which can cause dry mouth. More likely, high BGs can cause dehydration which can cause dry mouth.

Check into Sjogren's. It's also an autoimmune disease. My SIL has it and dry mouth is a primary symptom.
