Do you ever wish diabetes never existed?
Do you ever wish you never had it?
Do you just feel you want to be a normal child with not having to worry about pumps, needles, finger testing and just the lot of it ?

Definitely! Of course I wish D didn't exist! But do I feel deprived? No.
Do I feel like it's taking over my life? No. So that's the important thing. I don't enjoy my tornado of lancets and boluses and basal rates but D doesn't manage me. I manage it.

Of course, I wish I didn't have to deal with this stuff... but I do and I try to make the best of it=/ it's natural to wish things were different... just don't get so caught up in wanting to be normal that you forget your life is still worth living

When my little sister asks me why I am drinking extra water, avoiding any food except for popcorn, or a cheese stick? or giving myself a extra injection? (because I am trying to lower my BS) yes...

When my aunt makes a sweet dessert && I give myself a smaller piece than everyone else?? yes

When I am trying to do something && have an unexpected low BS?? yes.

When thinking about going to college & living by myself? yes.

What do I do when depression takes over for awhile?
I let myself have my pity party, then once I have that out of my system, I'm ok for awhile.
