I know the chances are slim of getting celiac, but so were getting t1 and here we are.
I'd like to know if there are warning signs you yourself or child experienced that led to the celiac diagnoses, things to look for..

The chances of celiac actually increase when you are type 1.

I have one daughter with each and both have increased chances of getting the other because they are auto-immune diseases.

My daughter was 5 at the time we discovered she couldn't tolerate gluten (later a biopsy was positive for celiac). She had atypical symptoms... dry, red hands, smelly feet, irritable behavior and some common ones distended belly and her growth slowed to a snails pace...
