It keeps saying out of range even when it is nearby, comes and goes if it gives a reading. Is this likely the transmitter dying? its about 7 months old... Under the device info, it says transmitter battery "OK" ...?
If you have insurance coverage for the dexcom then you should just call and order a new one. It's only a 6 month warranty on the transmitter and "out of range" is one way they can die and even if it's not dying, it's not fully functioning either.
We lost coverage shortly after we got the system... Hopefully it will last a bit longer, while we see if we can scrounge up the $$$ to pay for a new one! I can't imagine going without it at this point - she still has no idea if she is low - we really rely heavily on it!!!
Most likely it is the transmitter. Ours said okay too when it was quickly dying. i too cannot imagine being without it, and I hope the whole situation works out for well for you!
