When I bake or cook from scratch my counter looks like a laboratory with scales, calculators, measuring cups and notebooks to add all the measurments together and FINALLY I come out with a total carb count for a recipe (which is why I rarely bake anymore:confused:)

I'm sure you all do the same thing, so I thought I would share one recipe that is already counted to make baking cookies a little easier. If anyone has recipes with the math done already, I know I would love some :)

This is NOT a low carb cookie recipe, just a regular one that has been counted.
Also its not a very sweet cookie.

    Oatmeal Chocolate Chip
(each ingredient is counted seperatley so you can omit the things you don't like)

    1 Cup Butter
    1/2 Cup Applesauce (20cbs)
2 Cups Brown Sugar (262 cbs)
2/3 Cup White Sugar (110 cbs)
    4 eggs
    2 tsp vanilla
3 Cups White Flour (255 cbs)
    2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking soda
6 Cups Rolled Oats (276 cbs)
    1 Cup Raisins (116 cbs)
    1 Cup Walnuts (8 cbs)
1 Cup semi sweet chocolate chips (96 cbs)

    Mix with a wooden spoon.

    TOTAL for recipe= 1143 carbs

    Bake 350 for 8-10 minutes.

I used a tablespoon to scoop onto the cookie sheet.
This made about 50 cookies so for me each cookie was approx. 23 carbs.
Just divide by however many cookies you end up making as everyone makes different sized cookies.

Thank you for sharing this! I don't bake as much as I use to (before d) and having this recipe already counted out will be a great help. Also, oatmeal choc chip is one of our favorite cookies here at our house! Thanks!
