Controlling diabetes improves memory

    Higher than average blood levels of glucose have been linked with lower brain function in individuals suffering from type 2 diabetes. According to a study published in Diabetes Care, diabetics with high hemoglobin A1C - a measure of average blood glucose levels over 2 to 3 months - are weaker in performing cognitive tasks.
