New TY1 parent. Sorry if this has already been answered but is there a source for OTC Meds that gives me carbs per dose? Navigating our first cold with T1 so I could use some good references. Thanks in advance!

I remember those days! I don't know that we ever came up with counts, but now I go on the theory that with illness, there is so much in chaos, that the counts aren't that vital. However, I also figure they are about 17g per tablespoon like honey or corn syrup if a liquid like cough syrup.

If you're new to diabetes, does your child have a Dexcom? They are awesome anytime, but especially during illness. I love letting my daughter sleep uninterrupted while I can monitor her without fingerpricks and know she's staying safely in range.

Thanks for the reply. She does not. I just started looking into the Dexcom.
