Does anyone have experience with FRIO pouches for keeping insulin cool while travelling? This is the pouch that you soak in water to activate and reactivate, and it is supposed to keep insulin cool for up to 45 hours between soakings.

We just got back from a week long canoe trip, and luckily the weather was cool, but we are realizing we are going to need something to keep our insulin cool for tripping.

Wondering if we should give FRIO a try, or do you have other suggestions?

    Thanks, Ashti

I have used the FRIO pouches and now wouldn't travel without them! They really work great.

We use them all the time for weekend sports tournaments. I soak em down on Friday before we leave town and they hold the insulin cool all weekend long.
