My apologies for posting this in the parents group. I was active in this group many years ago and know this is where the action happens. My child is now 25 and has moved from Texas to California to attend grad school at UC Santa Barbara. He has health insurance with UCSHIP - offered by the UC system to all its students. (He was on mine - a great plan offered to State of Texas employees).

Even though the first quarter is completed, he has not established himself with an endo practice (that isn't an issue, there are lots of choices in Santa Barbara).

He has the perception that UCSHIP does not cover his dexcom and supplies.

Does anyone know if these are covered? He has enough sensors for another four months. He cannot afford to pay for senors out of pocket.
