Basal rates

    Please share insight on this pump question: If my son is having high or low numbers at 3 a.m. (or anytime), do I adjust the basal two hours earlier? That's what I've always been told, but not sure how they arrive at that. We use 24 pump settings.

    I adjust 2 hrs before the high/low is happening and tweak from there. The 2 hr. mark usually does the trick though.

    yes - 2 hours does the trick nicely.

    As I understand it, 2 hours comes from the fact that the peak action of novo rapid is 2 hours after it is 'injected'

    2 hours is what we use as well. Works for us.
