    I though the article Health Insurance Reform and the Tensions of Federalism http://healthcarereform.nejm.org/?p=3436 put the issue into an excellent historic context. In the Federalist v. Local context the current level of discomfort with our national body politic is clearly one extension of a difference this at our our core, dating back to the Founders. This makes it clear once again that the Original Intent of the Founders was not a single political view of Government but a process for differing views to be expressed in government.

    The roll of the Federal government has been contentious since before the Articles of Confederation were replaced with the Constitution. I find great interest in the idea that no matter how much things change they stay the same.
