Ok, this one's totally O/T (yes, Off topic for whomever asked that), but in chat we came up with BGP-- Big Girl Panties. As in, get on your BGP and do what needs to be done!
Here's a new one, I think. EB - extended bolus. An extended bolus is when, with a pump, you give no insulin up front for the food and instead extend the entire bolus out for a particular time frame, like one, two or three hours. This is different than a combo or dual wave bolus where part of the bolus is given up front and the remaining amount is extended out for a particular time frame.
EB (or square wave bolus) - also known in my household as '%&**$' .... still failing miserably at this. EB is supposed to be great for things like pizza, except we fail each and every time.
I think I'm going to start using BG for blood glucose numbers that are in a good range, and BS for blood sugar numbers that are way out of range.
May this will help: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Untethered_regimen http://www.childrenwithdiabetes.com/clinic/untethered.htm
Acronyms Some people do use "d" for "diabetes" instead of "dear" -- I've seen that in posts and in signatures. That's one you'll have to take in context a little.
As someone VERY new, I'm glad I stumbled across this!! I will try to remember to use them when I can...Nice job on the list Kristen
I asked someone and they said it is technically Obsessive Jonas Disorder, as you can be obsessive over one Jonas, and not all of the "brothers." Lol.
Ooops!! So, what's SD? Also, as an alternative for some ppl like myself can DH also be SH (stupid) or something of that nature?
