we are finally having a 504 meeting at school tomorrow. the school is adamant that the only person allowed to administer glucagon is the school nurse - she is there full time but I would feel much better if there were at least one other person trained on glucagon. we live in Pennsylvania. any tips on how to pursuade the prinicpal to get another person trained on glucagon?

If you put it in the 504 that 2 people need to be trained then that is what they are required to do.

What happens if the nurse is unavailable? Oftentimes our nurse-aide is out of her office checking on kids, giving meds at classrooms, talking to parents, going to the bathroom,;)

Our nurse-aid and dd's teacher are both trained.

No advice on getting the principal to willingly go along with the idea or State laws.
