I'm pretty sure the answer you're looking for is "carefully"?

That is an interesting link, though. I wonder if anyone is exploring how the insulin in the camel milk seems to survive the digestion process? Also, it seems like bg control is more even from what they describe, and the C-Peptide thing would not be caused by ingesting insulin, would it? So maybe it's not just insulin from a different direction (interesting, but still supplemented insulin) but maybe from a somehow better direction? That I would like to see.

I have known people to raise camels out west here (usually Bactrian) but I'd guess it would be like a milk cow, you'd have to calve it every year? So the big question would be, what would you do with all those camels?!

Sell them to other PWD for milking? At least, that would take care of half of them...

Re your add to list. Remember your child/family may get plenty of these things in their diet naturally. Also many of these things may only work because of the other stuff that is typically in the foods they are found in. Finally remember while T1 is your emphasis, the overall health is what you are aiming for. :Ali
My supplement use has changed over the years based on my health and meds. If you can do lots of research on your own or work with a naturopath then that is great. Sadly, this area of medicine, like so much of medicine is not very well researched or definitive. I base my supplements on the meds I currently take for cholest. and high blood pressure and a general sense of helping my vascular system.
