Default Just a little brag....

Last weekend, my ds was invited to a sleepover birthday party to a new family that he has never been over to their house before. He really wanted to go. It also included swimming.

He and I sat down and talked through how we were going to handle things and he went with the understanding that if things got way off from the swimming, he might have to come home instead of spending the night.

Well...he did awesome - he checked his blood - treated a low at the pool, dosed for the pizza and cookie cake, etc....

Around 9:30, we hadn't heard from him in a couple of hours and my husband was even getting a little worried but I texted him and he responded right away!!! It was hard to let him go but I was so proud of him - and he was able to spend the night!!!!!

He is 10 going into 5th grade. He does pretty good with reminders at home but this was the first time with someone brand new who doesn't really understand everything so he had to be more "in charge."
