Default oldest daughter in ER last night

She has had pains in her left side off and on for a week. Finally yesterday the pain was enough that she had to go to the ER last night

She has a kidney stone

She's only 11

And she hasn't passed it yet

Life is never calm in our house- hubby had to take her because I have had a head cold for 4 days that I can't kick

Let's hope she passes it soon and this doesn't become a chronic condition like hubby

Oh, I'm so sorry Nancy! I've heard how painful they can be! Your daughter is the second child I've heard of in the past month with a kidney stone!

I hope she passes it soon and is not in much pain!!!

Unfortunately, the only pain meds she is getting right now is Motrin over the counter when she is having the pain. Of course, by the time it takes effect the pain is usually gone (she only has pain when its moving). I think we'll give it preventatively before she goes to bed tonight, because laying down and relaxing seems to make it move!

Hubby has had them bad - had to have morphine drip for the pain and had to have one removed surgically. So I guess it was good that he was with her at the ER last night so he understood what they are saying.

I've gotten her a urologist appointment on Monday so we'll see what they say

I tell ya, I'm gonna be the queen of specialists before I'm done - she's seen the orthopedist and now the urologist and Emma with her endo, we're just working our way down the list.
