Default AI: Simon's face watching Fantasia perform

Did anyone see Simon's face when Fantasia performed on the results show tonight? It was hilarious. I don't know what happened to Fantasia, but she was horrible beyond words (sorry Fantasia fans), she was shreiking, had bright red Bozo colored hair, a horrid jumpsuit outfit, and something like "Jaws braces" on her teeth.

Then the camera cut to Simon during her performance. . . the look was priceless it was as if he witnessed the worst thing he ever saw in his life. Then after she was done, they showed Simon look over to Randy with a "WTH was THAT??" look on his face.

I think that had to be the single greatest moment on AI this season. Hahahahaha

Here's the whole performance, and for those of you that don't watch American Idol, no this is not a joke, this person actually WON AI the third season. Simon's look is at 2:57.

I hit instant replay about 5 times. I had to holler at hubby to come and watch Simons face. I was hoping they would have let Simon say ANYTHING after her performance (If thats what you want to call it)

The look on Simons face was PRICELESS!!!!! A WTH was that moment!

I like her since she was in The Color Purple with Jenny - lol or the other way around. She was outstanding good as Celie, I saw her many times and she made me cry and believe her performance every time. And she was very nice with Jenny.

However the performance on AI I did not like at all and I totally agree with you her hair and her screeming

I don't know, I liked it. I've always liked her. She is certainly not boring and she is totally an entertainer. She has her own way of being her - and she's original (do I sound like Paula??? lol) A few years back she played herself in a tv movie. The movie was a bit cheesy but she was INCREDIBLE and even though she was playing herself she was very believable, which sounds silly, but I have to imagine that trying to act out your own life is hard. So I was never surprised that she went on to TCP.

Simon's look was hysterical though.

That's why I can't figure this one out. I'm not doubting she's very talented, and I'm a HUGE fan of the move "The Color Purple" (saw it about 8 billion times) and I'm sure the Broadway musical was excellent (wish I saw it). So what happened here, it was a train wreck??

Well I will grant you that her performance WAS NOT boring, but I can't say I liked it.

People have different music preferences - I don't like heavy metal. It's all a matter of taste in my opinion- definitely wasn't my style, but I'm sure there were people who liked it. Simon was so rude again - he's a professional and should show respect!

Yes, but then that wouldn't be the Simon we all know and love.
