Default Totally OT just for fun hair cut post

Dean took the plunge and chopped his hair off! We're sending it off to a Locks of Love type of place. Thought those of you with boys with similar long hair would get a kick out of the off topic post. His ears are cold now!

Hooo -- big change. He does look cold! Aaron did that once -- went from nearly as long as Dean's to a really short cut. He was 13 at the time and it made him look about 2 years older.

If you don't mind me asking, where did you send the locks. My DD -9 years old wants to donate her hair but it is so thick I just don't think she is going to make it to the 10" they need for Locks of Love. It looks like Dean had less than 10 inches to donate.

Margaret, www.beautifullengths.com will take 8 inches of hair as a minimum for Pantene. He really wanted to send to Locks of Love because it's for kids, but they require 10 inches. We were not sure when we went in to the salon how long his hair would be because it was layered. This is why she had to do pigtails all over. I have lots of fun photos. He really had beautiful wavy thick hair, I hope it makes a suitable wig for a woman being treated for cancer.

Way to go Dean. I bet you're saving a lot on shampoo, conditioner, and pony tail holders....enough to save for grad school!

p.s. I hope to someday be able to post something similar about my son
:-). His hair is to the middle of his back, also wavy, thick... He won't cut it until GWB is out of the White House.
