Talking We got the OmniPod today!!
What an exciting day for us. My dh stayed home from work so we could both take Madison to her appointment to meet with the CDE and the Omnipod rep to get her saline trial. They showed us the insides and out of the pod and when it was time for Madison to try it on she tested her bs and it was 274??!!?? I thought to myself...hmmm I wonder if dh gave her her lantus this morning because I didn't? I was just hoping that he didn't say anything out loud and have the rep and the educator decide that we weren't worthy/responsible enough for the pod!! Thankfully he didn't and when we got in the car I asked him if he gave it to her -- he said "I thought you did". Our morning routine was disrupted and we just forgot...the first time we have forgotten. I'll blame it on the excitement of the morning. We rushed home after the appointment and gave her some lantus.
We are so excited about the POD! The freedom and flexibility it provides is going to be wonderful for my athletic little girl.

Congrats on your daughters pod start! It is perfect for an athlete! I don't know how we would have done sports without it.

Is it just me, or are there a lot of kids starting pods recently? We have ours and are waiting for pump start.
