Default Pump case with magnet

Ok me and my mom were at the store and saw a cell phone holder that had a magnetic closing and i thought it would be good to use as my pump case but then i sew the magnet and wondered if it would hurt my pump. do you think it will hurt my pump if i use. I want to know before I buy it.
Thanks
Molly

I would think you should'nt use a magnet near a pump. I have always heard you should put a magnet near a computer. I would think its the same thing.

I really don't know for sure. This is just my opinion.

Back when I was on a Cozmo I had a cell phone case with a magnet. I got an electrical error, called Smith's, they replaced the pump. My replacement pump came. Same thing, just hours into using the new one. Then we figured it out. It was the magnet. Worked fine when I stopped using that case.

No, you can't use the case WITH the magnets in it. What you can do is take an exacto knife, cut the magnets out (there are usually 4 small round ones - two on each side) and use the sticky velcro instead. We have done this with MANY cases b/c they are just too cute to pass up! Hope this helps...

I'm sure my pump case from animas has a slight magnetic click to it.

Phone the pump company.

I'm sure I was told that it was okay.

Thanks ya'll I think I will just keep looking. I don't want to take the chance of hurting my pump.

Kaylee has a pump case that is actually a cell phone case that closes with a magnet.. she's been using it (off and on) for a good year now and we've never had a problem.. I wondered if I should be using it to, but I figured the magnets were way to small to do any damage..
