Default which meter do you like best?

I have the one touch meter but last night I forgot her strips at home so I had to use someone elses meter ( but her finger *****) they had the accu-check it looked like it took less blood then the one we have. So many times I have received err because I didnt get enough..even when the blood is dripping from the poor girls finger. Which one takes less blood? which one is most perfered?

Freestyle Flash or Freestyle Lite take the tiniest drop of blood. My son's used their products for years. The Lite is the newest - doesn't require coding.

I agree with the statement above. We have only been using it since Monday but we love it here too. The displayed numbers are big too.

Anyone know if the Freestyle products can be uploaded to the minimed carelink site? I am considering switching but won't even bother if you can't upload it to carelink.

We have the Accu-chek Aviva and love it! It also only requires a small sample.
I also ordered the Precision Xtra (Abbott) to check for blood ketones.

We use one touch. It's been our brand for years.

I've never been a fan of the way accu-check does coding, at least the one we tried. We had to slip a little piece into the top of the meter. A new one came in each strip bottle. However that was before Julia's dx. No idea about any new products.

We have tried freestyle, but I wasn't comfortable with it. It sucks from the side, and I guess after using one touch for so long it's hard to teach an old dog new tricks.

Danielle uses the Freestyle strips in her CozMonitor...and loves it. It takes so little a sample.

We used to use the One Touch, but now we're "stuck" with the BD meter that communicates with the MM pumps. I know, I don't have to use it, but it's easier. Seems like everyone seems to prefer the Freestyle.

DH uses the meter that came with his MM, the paradigm link by BD. DD uses the Aviva. Both like their own meters. Have had to share a time or two and both agree that her lancing device is less painful but his meter requires less blood. So both have their pros and cons.
