Today my kids left on a school overnight trip. It is the first one Adyson has gone on without me....so....I'm nervous enough and trying to cover all our bases, pack everything, think of every senerio...so I deceided to change the battery in her pump. It still was showing 2 bars-but I wanted to be sure. I could not get the battery cap off. I tried until my fingers were red and cramping. I called mimimed and she talked through 3 different ways to try to get it off. It would not come off! So needless to say, I didn't change the battery. The lady on the phone assured me that it would last until she gets home Friday night....So 2 questions:
1. Do you think it will last? 2. Have you ever heard of the battery cap doing this? (The lady on the phone sounded like she had heard it before.) Thanks!

We are on the Animas and never had this happen. I would hope that she is correct about the reliability of the battery life. The pump should be ok as long as he doesn't use to many bells and whistles, such as the back light.
Are they going to replace the pump?

Yes-they are sending out a new pump. I should get it this morning. We didn't put a sensor on last night to help prolong the battery life. I also asked her to not use the light unless she had to-but she does use it for the time alot.
