Help with abbreviations?

Hi all -

I'm new to the forum. My son, Jason, has type 1 diabetes (dx 3/2011) and Down syndrome. I'm afraid this may be a silly question, but can you give me some help with all of the abbreviations I'm seeing? Some seem pretty self-explanatory, but I'm a little lost with others...
